Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TradingOS collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and applications. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Who Operates TradingOS
TradingOS is currently operated by Lesedi Meso, trading as TradingOS, in South Africa. TradingOS is not currently operated by a registered company. Operator details may be updated if TradingOS is incorporated or otherwise restructured.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through your use of the services, and information from service providers that help us operate TradingOS.
Account Information
When you register, we may collect identifiers such as your email address, authentication credentials (stored using industry-standard hashing where applicable), and profile fields you choose to provide. Authentication and account data are handled using Supabase infrastructure.
Information Users Submit
- Search queries, watchlists, alerts, and workspace preferences
- Content you upload for analysis (for example chart images)
- Support or contact messages you send us
- Billing-related selections during checkout (processed by payment providers)
Technical and Usage Information
We may collect device and usage information such as browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, feature usage, timestamps, and diagnostic logs needed to secure and operate the service.
AI Feature Data
When you use AI-assisted features, we may send prompts, context, and related inputs needed to generate outputs (for example market context, symbols, or uploaded images). Outputs may be stored in your account history where the product provides that functionality.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve TradingOS
- Authenticate users and enforce subscriptions
- Generate AI-assisted analysis and notifications you request
- Communicate about service, security, and billing
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
Legal/Permitted Bases for Processing
Depending on your location, we rely on bases such as contract performance (providing the service you requested), legitimate interests (security, improvement, analytics where used), consent where required (for example optional marketing), and legal obligations.
Service Providers
We use trusted providers to host infrastructure, process payments, deliver AI capabilities, and obtain market data. They process information on our instructions and subject to contractual safeguards appropriate to the service.
Payment Processing
Payments may be processed by third-party payment service providers. The applicable payment provider and its terms will be presented during checkout. Payment providers may collect billing details, card information, and transaction metadata directly from you. We typically receive limited billing status information (such as subscription state) rather than full card numbers.
Authentication and Database Infrastructure
TradingOS uses Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure. Account and application data are stored in Supabase-managed environments. Supabase processes data according to its own terms and privacy documentation.
AI Service Providers
AI features may transmit inputs to third-party AI service providers to generate responses. We do not claim that those providers never retain data, never use data for model improvement, or store data in a particular country unless we have expressly documented that arrangement for a specific integration. Provider practices may change; where required, we will update this policy.
Analytics and Cookies
We may use cookies and similar technologies for session management, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling cookies may affect functionality.
International Data Processing
If you access TradingOS from outside South Africa, your information may be processed in South Africa and in other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and may include backups for a limited time.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
User Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port personal information, or to object to certain processing. We will respond to valid requests in line with legal requirements.
Account/Data Requests
Privacy requests can be submitted through /contact. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
Children's Privacy
TradingOS is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised last updated date.
